Party Line Tent Rentals celebrates 20th year in business
Party Line Tent Rentals, the party branch of Westchester Tool Rentals, Elmsford, N.Y., turned 20 this year and Rich Divestea, installation manager, marked 20 years with the company on July 15.
Despite a busy day, the company rounded up the half of its crew that was not on the road and had a midday barbecue in its warehouse to celebrate. Kenny and Karin Puff, owners, raised a toast. Anne and Buddy Puff, also owners, told a few funny stories about the early days of the party business, including the time Divestea, who was essentially the only full-time employee, came back to the shop and had just finished unloading the truck of 20 tables and 200 chairs on a long, hot day. Then Anne came out to him with a new order — 20 tables and 200 chairs. He said he never again unloaded the truck without first checking with Anne about new orders.
